Disused Barn to Bunkhouse in Seven Months

The traditional buildings at Houghton Farm were originally built as stables in the late 1800s. In the 1950s a grain drier and storage bins were installed in them which were in use up until 2005. The idea for a bunkhouse came from the demand from walkers and cyclists for our B&B rooms in the Farmhouse. The conversion has been sensitively designed by Sloane and Brown Ltd and carried out by GPH Construction Ltd. Our thanks go to The Angmering Park Estate, the Sussex Downs & Coastal Plain LEADER Local Action Group and Laurence Gould Partnership Ltd for making the whole project possible.
